Lambeth’s Sanctuary scheme is available to individuals who are affected by domestic violence. It has been designed to help users feel safe within their homes.

There are a range of security features that can be added to their existing home enabling the user to stay safe without moving home. The service is a free for both women and men.

Security features in detail

There are a range of security measures that are available to users through this scheme. Users are fully assessed to determine which of the features would be suitable in their home. In addition to the full sanctuary installation, a number of other security recommendations and products will be installed by the lock-fitter. These will be tailored to the accommodation and needs of the individual. The user does not have to sign up for the full sanctuary if they do not require it. The Sanctuary Scheme co-ordinator will seek the landlord's permission before any work can commence.
